This is a giclée print of my original mixed media painting of The High Priestess; this is number II in my forthcoming Tarot project, the Sibylline Tarot.
The High Priestess is the embodiment of feminine energy and receptivity. Light as a feather and crystalline in her beauty, she is the receiver of knowledge from the unseen worlds; she transmits this knowledge in the form prophecy just as her ancestors, the Sibyls of the ancient world did. Her vision of the world unfurls like the delicate petals of the rose and the gossamer threads of the spider's web: beautiful, ethereal, and yet utterly unbreakable.
